Suntalekhola or Suntaley Khola (also Suntaleykhola) is a village set amidst the wilderness of foothill forest of Neora Valley National Park and on the rocky bank of gushing stream Suntalekhola. It is a famous offbeat destination of Dooars and North Bengal Region.
Name Suntalekhola is derived from the Nepali language where the word “Suntaley” stands for “orange” and “Khola” stands for “stream”. So this place gets its prominence from the many orange orchards around it and the stream flowing through it.
The altitude of the place ranges from 650 to 950 m. Sited on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas this Himalayan hamlet is a scenically blessed village. This place is nearly 5 km from Samsing, which is also a small picturesque serene village. The green patch on the left side of the way to this village is amazing and holds many varieties of birds and butterflies.
Approach way to the village is astonishing and holds numerous assortments of winged creatures and butterflies. Little green slopes, the wide and open sky, streaming river , this is about Suntalekhola, the sound of streaming river will remember for.

One can visit samsing throughout the year. The beauty can be relished anytime except the rainy season. Best time to visit is October to March when the quaint hamlet is bursting with ripe oranges.

Another nearest railway station is New Mal Jn. distance around 38 K.M. The main railway station New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is just 80 K.M away. It’s a 3 hour drive from NJP and the road is surrounded by beautiful landscape with green tea garden , hills and forests.
