Punakha Suspension Bridge
Punakha Suspension Bridge is one of the oldest and longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, spanning 160 -180m and perched high above the very swift river of Po Chhu. Draped with prayer flags this suspension bridge located near the iconic Pungthang Dechen Phodrang Dzong, connecting Dzong with Punakha town and the scattered villages.
It is Believed to be build by Thangtong Gyalpo, a spearheading engineer who presented the development of suspension bridges into Bhutan and Tibet, this scaffold has experienced a few redesigns from that point forward. Its captivating experience walk over the bridge, decked with energetic vibrant prayer flags and getting a charge out of striking perspective on the valley, encompassing mountains and the stream.
While visiting the Punakha Dzong tourist can visit the Suspension Bridge too.
